All Dance Instructors at our studio are highly qualified and experienced to ensure you and your child get the most out of their dance lessons. Please check the class schedule in the fall to see who your dance instructor will be for the upcoming season.

Dance Instructors

Terry Bucaro
Director and owner, studied dance at the Chicago Conservatory College, after taking dance classes and assisting her teacher at a studio in Lyons, Illinois for many years. Terry started her teaching career in Lyons, and operated her studio there for seven years. Terry is a currently on the Board of Dance Masters of Wisconsin. Terry also is a member, graduate, and has Master Dance Educator certification with Chicago National Association of Dance Masters. Terry attends annual workshops and teacher training schools each year with these and other organizations.

Leslie Hilgendorf
Was a student of Terry Bucaro for over 15 years. As a student, she participated in many dance workshops and dance competitions. She was a teacher/assistant during her high school years, and has been an instructor for the past 14 years. Leslie has achieved her teacher certification in Tap and Jazz from Dance masters of Wisconsin. Leslie attends teacher-training workshops to continue her dance education. Leslie is a wonderful asset to the dance department.

Tammi Younker
Creative Movement. Tammi Younker has 15 years of dance experience. She began dancing at the age of 3 with the Dee Polege Dance Company of Tomahawk, learning tap, ballet and tumbling. When Tammi was 8 years old, she began taking tap and jazz classes at Dorinda’s Dance Studio in Merrill and studied there for 2 years until The Terry Bucaro Dance Studio opened in Tomahawk. Tammi was a student of Terry’s until she graduated High School. Tammi was a member of the Tomahawk High School Poms Dance Team for 4 years. When on the Poms Dance Team, she performed at the Miss Wisconsin Pageant and Parade in Oshkosh. Tammi was previously a preschool teacher for over 5 years in Green Bay. She started teaching the preschool age dance classes for Terry in 2014 and feels right at home with these young dancers!

Holly Larch
Returns to our faculty this year as a gymnastic teacher. Holly started her gymnastic training at the UW Oshkosh Kolf Center. A move to Rhinelander offered Holly the opportunity to join the Gymnastic teams in Junior High and High School. She attended gymnastic and dance camps every summer. Holly’s specialty was choreographing floor routines while on the High School team. Holly also served as a coach for the Rhinelander Gymnastic Club. We look forward to another successful year with Miss Holly, as our gymnastic program continues to grow.

Denise Lechleitner
Was a student of Terry Bucaro for 13 years and an avid participant of many dance workshops and competitions. Denise was the captain of the her high school dance team for 3 of 4 years participating. Here she choreographed and led the team through many performances and competitions. While attending college, Denise was a participant of the UW-Stout Dance Ensamble in which she choreographed and taught Advanced Tap, Beginner Jazz and Intermediate Jazz Classes to fellow members. Denise also has coached poms for Greendale Middle School and Choreographed dances for the Tomahawk Dance Team. Denise Has been a guest choreographer for Terry Bucaro in the past and will continueteaching 7th grade through 12th grade jazz classes. 

Heather Gaedtke
Has been dancing since the age of 3. She started at Dorinda's Dance Studion in Merrill. Heather was on the Tomahawk Dance Team in high school. She teaches Intro to Dance, Tap, Jazz & Hip Hop as well as our Mommy and Me Class. This is her 4th year at our studio.

Martial Arts Instructor

Lonny Calhoun
Lonny Calhoun received is First Degree Black Belt (Tae Kwon Do) in 2002 from Tomahawk Martial Arts (affiliates with Like's Black Belt Academy in Wausau, WI). While attending college in Eau Claire, he attended Karate America, his martial arts training from 1992 - 1994 at Karate American in Eau Claire, WI. Lonny is a Correctional Unit Supervisor at Lincoln Hills School. He has been teaching self defense and martial arts at the Fine Arts Studio for over 15 years. He has also been a volunteer coach for hockey and soccer for several years in the community. He looks forward to helping youth and adults gain the discipline and knowledge in self defense and martial arts. He is a strong advocate of helping children learn skills and techniques to defend themselves.
